DESIRE!

Thank you for your thought John!

Desire The starting point of all achievement, The
first step towards riches

Wishing or hoping for something will not bring it about,
only a focused burning desire will bring it about. Like
a laser the more focused and concentrated the desire the
faster the desired results will appear.

The more heated the desire the stronger the energy,
the stronger the energy the stronger the attraction
for like energy.

Part of this desire is visualizing the desired results,
not just the material objects of your dreams.Visualize
yourself in your dreams, feel the dream, make it as
realistic as you can.

Envision yourself driving the car of your dreams,
walking through the house of your dreams. Feel
yourself in the dream living the dream.

Draw up your plan for attaining your desire, then
remove all doubts from your mind that you will
achieve your desire and put your plan in action.

After reading this chapter, I question just how
much I've really desired the things I want. I
know I have not been committed strongly enough
in the past, I've let go of my dreams too easily,
listening to the skeptics and leaving my dreams
behind.

I've listened to the critics. That will be one
of my greatest challenges. I have great respect
for my father, his approval of me and my accom-
plishments have always been important to me.

But I also have come to realize that many of his
ideas are out dated and if I really sit back and
evaluate things objectively he has become very o
pinionated.

To him the only way to earn a living is hard manual
labor, those days are gone, times have changed. Now
I need to develop the filters, to screen out his
outdated thinking.

Hold on the basic values he has taught me like
honesty and integrity, but ignore the outdated
viewpoints that he seems to state more strongly
as he ages.

I can not ignore him, the time I have left with him
is growing short, so I need to develop those filters.

This is something very hard for me to put into words
on paper, I hope I have been able to put it down in a
way that will make some sence to you and you can see
where I am coming from.

I am not trying to place blame, just trying to de-
termine what has been making me give up my dreams
so easily and figure out how to deal with it.
