Persistence

We learned about persistence this week during our reading of Chapter 9 in the book Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. I have always found this a tough thing. I start things with a bang and then dwindle away after a while. For example, I set chores up for my children, they change monthly. The beginning of setting these chores up I print out these awesome little papers for them to check off and this will show all of us they did their chores for the week. Then after about a week or two of this, we stop doing the check marks, sometimes stop doing the chores all together. I am 1, teaching my kids how to not ever be persistent and teaching them to give up on their goals. Because to be honest, I want my house clean, that is the goal for them helping with the chores a cleaner house. So this goal of mine is not being reached because I am not persistent with what has to happen in order for it to be reached.
Sometimes we need to take life a little slower and build up a persistent attitude. I am learning how to do this by reading the book by Hill, but also by staying close to my Mastermind group that meets every Wed to discuss the chapter of the week. My goals are becoming more of a reality as I continue on this path.
Changing the way you see yourself and knowing you deserve to even have goals and dreams is a first and a must in your home business. If you don't believe in you, you can't reach to hi in the dream department, you will sabotage yourself every time! Know this from an experienced person who has been sabotaging herself for years.
Not anymore. I will take it one goal at a time, until I have reached ALL my goals.
